Paul's Phantom comic and Flock #1 Shortlisted for CAAA Awards 2023




I'm very grateful for the Comic Arts Awards Of Australia shortlisting of my comics from 2022: FLOCK #1, published with Gestalt Comics, and THE PHANTOM #1925 "Until the Final Bell" published by Frew Publications. Thank you to Amanda Bacchi for her fantastic editing efforts on both, Wolfgang Bylsma of Gestalt and Glenn Ford of Frew,( & Dudley Hogarth and Rene White at Frew) for your respective efforts, editorial, design etc.


I also want to congratulate my friends and peers Gary Proudly for his comic shortlistings (and inviting me to draw a story in TALGARD: TOME TWO), Scott Wilson, KT Hollywood and co. for DARK HEART #1 from The Indigiverse, Jon Sommariva and Tom Taylor's NEVERLANDERS, Nicola Scott's amazing Wonder Woman: Historia, as well as FRACTURED SHARDS by Shaun Paulet's Comics2movies, Dillon Naylor's BATRICIA & THE CREEPY CARETAKER published by Nat Karmichael's Comicoz, and Rob Lisle's SLUGGISH #1.

"The COMIC ARTS AWARDS of AUSTRALIA (formerly known as the LEDGER AWARDS) have been organised to acknowledge excellence in Australian comic art and publishing. The awards were first held in 2005-2007. After a hiatus, the Awards returned in 2014 with a new structure.

The nominations and awards are for work published and events held in the calendar year, January 1 to December 31.

The Comic Arts Awards of Australia are a fully independent initiative. It is non-profit. It has no affiliations or links with organisations, businesses or other parties outside of sponsorship."
